HerO Joins Team Revolution StarCraft II Roster!

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

Welcome to Team Revolution, it’s been over 6 months since you’ve left your previous team, how does it feel to have the support of a team again and such loyal fans?

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

Yeah, it’s been over 6 months already since I left my previous team; I couldn’t realise how long it has been since I left Team Liquid. I actually lost my passion of SC2 after leaving Team Liquid and now that I’m getting support from Team Revolution, it can be my new start, I feel very thankful to my new team and my longtime HerO fans.

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

That’s cool to hear, we hope to have you on our team for as long as possible. So we noticed that you tweeted about returning to stream again, how often do you plan to stream? I know the community miss Korean gameplay.

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

Yeah I’m planning to stream as much as possible. I like talking and interacting with people,  I haven’t streamed in a while, I hope people will enjoy it!

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

So let’s talk a little about the game, what do you think about the current Meta, what match ups do you hate, like and why?

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

I couldn’t practice much after I lost a code S match up. I will be trying to catch up with the Meta. I still feel PvT is most difficult for me . Liberators and Mine drop are so annoying.

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

As a Zerg player myself, I have to agree with you (haha)…this was the first year of the region lock, everyone has mixed feelings about it. What are your thoughts on it and what would you like to see next year?

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

In my opinion the region lock is not a good idea from Blizzard, it made many Korean players retire or lost the way who joined a foreign team for a long time. It can definitely create issues, I feel Korean players are so good and they’re winning a lot, so blizzard made region lock to help foreign players? It’s a competition and what about Korean players then? I feel SC2 is declining in Korea now, Blizzard has always advertised SC2 as a global game and now they’ve made it region locked. Many Korean players who joined a foreign team have lost passion for SC2 or retired, I still don’t know why they did it, maybe to increase foreign viewership? I know the foreign players are also very good but that’s just how I feel, It doesn’t make sense to me. Also I think it should be a nation lock to make sense. I think they locked Koreans from foreign tournaments because it isn’t very popular in Korea in comparison, but how is ‘global’?

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

I see, I mostly agree with you as there were many people who made a living from going to the states & Europe and now they’re not allowed, I believe it has ruined peoples’ careers who weren’t on Kespa teams already. Let’s ask a bit of a light-hearted question since we are talking about  a pretty gloomy topic and its out our control. Are there progamers that you spend time with maybe DRG, ByuN or such?

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

Not really nowadays, I used to spend time with YongHwa, MarineKing and Center, however they are retired now though.

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

Thanks HerO for letting me talk to you, I wish you the best of luck back on the ladder as well as tournaments and we hope you enjoy your time with us! Any finals words/shout-outs?

Hyeondeok ‘HerO’ Song:

First of all, I want to say thanks to Team Revolution and my fans who still miss, remember, and love me. I was always missing the foreigner tournaments where we could meet and talk and enjoy together with you guys, honestly I lost motivation after region lock but I still want to communicate and enjoy with you guys, at least we have a Stream :), look forward my stream guys, hope you come and enjoy with me. Life is always changing and we have to adjust it. Always thank you guys, expect a new HerO with Team Revolution.

Rezwan ‘Jehuty’ Mostofa (Team Revolution manager):

I couldn’t wait to announce this as a fan and StarCraft II enthusiast, I’m very happy to see HerO representing Team Revolution! Check out his stream at twitch.tv/herosc2
